Market Movers Today: Sunday's three steamers at Fontwell & York

Each day oddschecker picks out the Market Movers for horse racing in the UK & Ireland with today's top three in action at Fontwell & York.

How does it work?

The oddschecker Market Movers page allows you to see the horses which have shortened or lengthened the most in the markets since they opened. Steamers are selections that have been well backed and shortened, while drifters have done the opposite.

Each day we look at the races in UK and Ireland to pick out the top three steamers, or selections with the biggest positive Average Market Swing* at the time of writing.

1. Emzara - 17:00 Fontwell - 7/2 to 7/4 (2/1 Best Odds)

Our first Sunday market mover is EMZARA who will be running in the 17:00 at Fontwell. The six-year-old is the half-sister to Here Comes Johny, won three times over hurdles at 2m 4f and 2m 5f and in a point to point race at 3m but was well beaten at 11/1 behind Lady Excalibur when 11th of 18 on her racecourse debut at Aintree over 2m 1f (good) in October last year.

2. Parisiac - 14:20 York - 20/1 to 5/1 (10/1 Best Odds)

Our next market mover is PARISIAC who will be running in the 14:20 at York. The three-year-old has been successful twice at 6f on good and soft ground but was beaten 3 1/2l behind Runninwild at 7/2 when seventh of 11 on his latest outing at Thirsk over 6f (good) last month.

3. Tara Niece - 13:30 Fontwell - 15/2 to 4/1 (5/1 Best Odds)

Our last Sunday market mover is TARA NIECE who will be running in the 13:30 at Fontwell. The nine-year-old is a winner of a hurdle race at 2m 6f on good ground, but that win was over two years ago. Unseated rider on her last outing when 5/1 at Worcester over 2m 7f (good) in a chase won by Judge Earle last month on her chase debut.

Fancy the treble?

Today’s Market Movers combine for a best priced treble of 188/1 through oddschecker. Meanwhile, the worst odds on the treble are 85/1.
