2023 winner Corach Rambler is the most backed horse for the Grand National 2024 since this year's race finished at Aintree.
Corach Rambler
The 8/1 favourite held off a spirited late charge from Vanillier to win by 2¼ lengths and become the latest Grand National hero for Lucinda Russell, six years on from One For Arthur’s win at Aintree.
CORACH RAMBLER, fresh from landing his second consecutive Ultima Handicap Chase at Cheltenham last month, was kept out of trouble throughout an incident-packed race at Aintree.
Going in, he was effectively 13lbs well-in on that Cheltenham form and he firmly allayed any fears that his preference to travel off the pace could cause him an issue.
At the time of writing, Corach Rambler (best price 20/1 for 2024) has been backed in 35% of the bets for the Grand National 2024 through oddschecker.

The Big Dog
Fifth in Saturday's showpiece, the stock continues to rise for Peter Fahey's THE BIG DOG, who had already landed the Munster National and Troytown Handicap Chase this season, in addition to placing third in the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow.
Once again, he showed his stamina and experience in big field handicaps. 11% of the punters (33/1 ante-post) through oddschecker think he can challenge once again in 2024.
Vanillier
With an equal 11% share of the bets so far it's VANILLIER, who came home strongest from the final hurdle to at least put some pressure on Corach Rambler.
The eight-year-old, a best price 25/1 for the 2024 Grand National, had looked like a potential superstar when landing the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham by 11 lengths in 2021, but he had failed to reach the same heights over fences before Saturday.
Gavin Cromwell's charge did, however, run a fine race to chase home Kemboy in Grade 3 company at Fairyhouse in February, giving him a boost going into Saturday's top two finish.

Noble Yeats
The fourth most backed horse for the Grand National 2024 is last year's hero NOBLE YEATS (best price 33/1), who put in an admirable performance to finish 4th despite carrying top weight (rated 19lbs higher) and with a different jockey on board.
He had warmed up for his title defence at Aintree with another fourth place effort in the Cheltenham Gold Cup last month. 7.5% of the bets so far have gone the way of Emmet Mullins’ charge.
Gaillard Du Mesnil
Finally, and perhaps surprisingly, GAILLARD DU MESNIL completes the set of top five 2023 finishers to feature in our top five most backed list for 2024.
Well fancied going into the race, the seven-year-old had stayed-on well to land the 3m6f National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
It had been expected that the extra week in between Cheltenham and Aintree would prove advantageous to him, and he gave a good run for those who backed him (10/1 SP).
6.66% of the ante-post slips since the conclusion of the race on Saturday feature backing for Willie Mullins' Gaillard Du Mesnil, who can be backed at a best price of 25/1.
