The Hyde Novices’ Hurdle takes place at 3:30 on the first day of the November Meeting where CAPTAIN TEAGUE is a warm favourite (4/6) following his 9½ length victory in the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow’s Jump Season Opener.
Indeed, Paul Nicholls won the race last year with Hermes Allen before going on to win the Grade 1 Challow over Christmas and has touted the same route for Captain Teague.
Captain Teague is 14/1 on William Hill to win next year’s Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle.

Latenightpass – Cross Country Chase
The most interesting entry in Friday's Cross Country Handicap Chase is LATENIGHTPASS, a top class hunter who will only improve for moving to the Skeltons.

Burdett Road – Triumph Hurdle
The most eye-catching entry in the JCB Triumph Trial on Saturday is Royal Ascot winner BURDETT ROAD, who finished off his flat campaign with a 3rd in a Group 3 and a rating of 101.
Having been gelded and transferred to James Owen’s yard, the three-year-old son of Muhaarar easily won on his hurdle debut at Huntingdon by 12 lengths.
Burdett Road is still available to back at 20/1 for the Triumph on Paddy Power.
Good Risk At All – Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase
GOOD RISK AT ALL is a potential market mover for Cheltenham 2024 having made the perfect start over fences by winning in a 2m4f novice chase at Carlisle last month by 16 lengths.
Seventh in last year’s Coral Cup at the Festival, the seven-year-old trained by Sam Thomas is a relative outsider for the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase going into this week at Prestbury Park, where he runs in the Novices’ Chase at 1:45.
Good Risk At All is a best price 33/1 to win the Brown Advisory on Unibet.
Jonbon – Champion Chase
Nicky Henderson’s JONBON is odds on for the Grade 2 Shloer Chase on Sunday.
Nube Negra looks to complete a hat-trick of wins in the race and Banbridge is expected to have his first start over fences outside of novice company, while 2022 Arkle winner Edwardstone could also head to post in a star-studded field.
Second to El Fabiolo in the 2023 Arkle, Jonbon is a 6/1 chance on bet365 for the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham 2024.
