State Man is being backed heavily by punters.
37% of all accumulators with a stake of £10 or more through oddschecker for Day 1 at the Cheltenham Festival feature Champion Hurdle favourite State Man.
That figure is still 23% for Willie Mullins' seven-year-old even including other popular multiple bets such as Yankees and Lucky 15s
This is no surprise with Constitution Hill out of the picture, all eyes are on State Man who is off the back of an impressive five-length win over Bob Olinger at last month’s Dublin Racing Festival in the Irish Champion Hurdle.
State Man has won 11 of his 12 completed hurdle starts; the only horse to have beaten him in all completed starts was Constitution Hill in this race 12 months ago.

The race appears to have opened up for Willie Mullins' short-priced favourite, who can be found at a best price of 4/11 at Sky Bet currently and punters clearly view him as a sure thing.
He was four lengths clear of the third placed horse last year when chasing home Constitution Hill, after he was a clear second best to Nicky Henderson’s seven-year-old.
He looks set to be Mullins' second winner at Cheltenham so far.
Second favourite is Irish Point at a best price of 5/1 at William Hill and Iberico Lord follows up as third favourite at a best price of 12/1.
