Kim Muir Challenge Cup Tips: Inothewayurthinkin takes 15% of the race winner bets

Short priced favourite Inothewayurthinkin has received the most bets; however, others are almost equally fancied by punters at better prices.

The Kim Muir Challenge Cup is a handicap chase run over 3 miles and 2 furlongs and concludes racing on Day 3. Like the National Hunt chase, the race is only open for amateur riders.

The race has been run since 1946 and is named after Kim Muir who is the brother of the race’s creator Mrs. Evan Williams as well later being named after Fulke Walwyn who was a successful jumps racing trainer and has 40 wins at the Festival.

Jamie Codd is the leading jockey of the race with his four wins all coming between 2009
and 2016. Like the National Hunt Chase, the race was also won by professional rider Jack Kennedy in 2021 when the Covid 19 pandemic prohibited amateurs from riding.

The race is capped for horses rated 145 and below and, as such, welcomes many horses who didn’t make Tuesday’s Ultima.

Twice a winner over hurdles and has placed in three of his four starts over fences. Inothewayurthinkin wasn’t disgraced when he finished ninth of 25 in the O'Driscolls Irish Whiskey Leopardstown Handicap Chase last time out on handicap debut and has only been handed a pound rise.

The trip is unknown, but clearly a lot of people think he’s got a serious chance based on his skinny odds of 5/2 (BetMGM).
