Brighterdaysahead is considered the bet of the day for punters.
The Dawn Run Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle is the second most recent addition to the Cheltenham Festival having been introduced in 2016. Although Willie Mullins won the first five runnings of the race, he has been unsuccessful in the last three years.
The race is named after the famous mare Dawn Run who won both the Champion Hurdle and the Gold Cup in the 1980’s. The last two winners of the race have come from the Jane Seymour Novices' Hurdle at Sandown.

Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle Betting
| Horse | Percentage of bets |
|---|---|
| Brighterdaysahead | 51.5% |
| Dysart Enos | 14.7% |
| Jade De Grugy | 14.6% |
| Golden Ace | 4.5% |
The table shows that Brighterdaysahead is the clear favourite, attracting more than half of the bets on this market. Dysart Enos (now withdrawn from the race) and Jade De Grugy are neck and neck in second and third place for bets placed, while Golden Ace is fourth but with less than 5% of the bets.
Brighterdaysahead is an exciting mare for the Gordon Elliott team, with an unblemished record of five wins from five starts. She has won all three starts over hurdles in the manner of a top-class prospect and has plenty more to come.
She heads the betting on her first run at the course and could turn out to be special.
