Who is the favourite to win the Epsom Derby?
City Of Troy remains the bookmakers' favourite to win the Epsom Derby (best price 3/1) despite finishing 9th of 11 in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket earlier this month.
Last season's champion two-year-old failed badly on his first test as a three-year-old having been 6/4 for the Derby before entering the stalls at Newmarket.
| Epsom Derby | Best Odds | Worst Odds |
|---|---|---|
| City Of Troy | 3/1 | 5/2 |
| Arabian Crown | 4/1 | 3/1 |
| Los Angeles | 8/1 | 7/1 |
| Ambiente Friendly | 8/1 | 6/1 |
| Ancient Wisdom | 20/1 | 12/1 |
Find out who Steve Ryder put up in his ante-post column for Oddschecker Unlimited.
He referenced the volatile nature of the market with Ambiente Friendly the only horse not trained by Aidan O’Brien or Charlie Appleby in the top eight in the market.
There are also question marks, he said, regarding the form of City Of Troy and the participation of Diego Velazquez, Capulet and Henry Longfellow who look likely to either head to France or Royal Ascot instead.
