The Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket is one of just three remaining Group 1's for the flat season outside of Champions Day at Ascot.
It's the Dubai Future Champions Festival at Newmarket this weekend (11-12 October) featuring two Grade 1's - the Fillies' Mile and the Dewhurst Stakes, arguably Britain's most prestigious race for juvenile horses.
Before today's five-day confirmation stage it's The Lion In Winter who heads the betting for a race likely to be significant for next year's Classics.

Dewhurst Stakes Winners
City Of Troy was the winner of the 2023 Dewhurst Stakes under Ryan Moore for Aidan O'Brien, who is targeting his sixth winner in the race.
John Gosden's Too Darn Hot in 2018 was the only winner since 2014 not trained by O'Brien, Andrew Balding or Charlie Appleby. O'Brien (The Lion In Winter) and Appleby (Ancient Truth) hold the two clear favourites in the market.
Dewhurst Stakes Tips
Steve Ryder sided with Ancient Truth as part of his weekly ante-post tips for Oddschecker Unlimited subscribers last Tuesday.
Charlie Appleby, said Ryder, gave a positive interview about ANCIENT TRUTH (tipped at 3/1) when discussing the victory of Shadow Of Light in the Middle Park Stakes.
My initial concern was why the Dubawi colt had missed the Group 1 National Stakes but his trainer has stated that he only wanted to run him once more this season and this was his intended target instead.
