Impaire Et Passe made his chasing debut at Fairyhouse this morning as he prepares for the Arkle in March.
Imaire Et Passe made an impressive start to his chasing career at Fairyhouse, debuting in the hotly contested 2m5f Beginners Chase.
Trained by Willie Mullins, the three-time Grade 1 winner showcased his impressive hurdling form, stepping up to fences with confidence, eventually winning with ease despite looking in a bit of trouble in the run in.
With an eye on future Grade 1 targets like the Arkle, this performance has left racing enthusiasts questioning whether it was enough to prove the 6-year-old is ready to compete with the likes of Ballyburn over 2 miles in March.
Willie Mullins has won the Arkle at Cheltenham the past two editions with Gaelic Warrior in 2024 and El Fabiolo in 2023 and is hopeful Impaire Et Passe might give him a shot at the hat-trick.
The Irish trainer said before the race "He has a lot of ability and if he can transfer that to fences he could be a good addition to our Arkle team."

Impaire Et Passe has drifted from a best price of 14/1 to 20/1 to win the Arkle (various bookmakers) following his chase debut.
He was as short 10/1 with Paddy Power last night but can now be found at 20/1 with the same bookmakers as confidence he has what it takes to win the Arkle seems to have deminished.
Impaire Et Passe Browns Advisory Novice Chase Odds
His price has however shortened for the Browns Advisory Novice Chase at Cheltenham Festival dropping from a best price of 25/1 last night to a current best price of 16/1 with various bookmakers.
It seems the consensus is that Imapire Et Passe is more suited to the 3m trip and doesn't quite have what it takes to beat his stablemate Ballyburn over the 2m Arkle.
