Grand National 2025 Date, Time and Location
The Grand National 2025 will take place on April 5, 2025, with a start time of 4:00 PM BST.
This is a shift from the traditional 5:15 PM slot, a change announced by The Jockey Club to enhance safety and viewing conditions, aligning with British Summer Time (BST), which begins March 30, 2025.
The race is the highlight of a three-day festival running from Thursday, April 3, to Saturday, April 5, with gates opening at 10:00 AM on race day.
It will be held at Aintree Racecourse, which is about six miles northeast of central Liverpool.
The Grand National course itself covers roughly 4 miles and 2½ furlongs (6.9 km) and featuring 30 famous fences like Becher’s Brook and The Chair.
It’s been the home of the Grand National since 1839, when the race moved from nearby Maghull.
