Who will be running in the Welsh Grand National today and who should you back?
A marathon test of stamina awaits at Chepstow as a top-class field of 19 lines up for the Coral Welsh Grand National (2.50), Wales’s biggest jumps race.
Run over nearly four miles and 23 fences, the Premier Handicap Chase regularly pushes even the toughest stayers to their limits.
Several runners arrive with major marathon prizes already on their CV, including Haiti Couleurs, Mr Vango, Intense Raffles and Nassalam - they all head to the post looking to prove their stamina once more.
Jubilee Express arrives with the standout form after landing the Welsh National Trial earlier this month and heads the betting market at a best price of 5/1 with William Hill.
Meanwhile Intense Raffles, the 2024 Irish Grand National hero, must defy a top weight of 12st.
Local pride is on the line with the 2025 Irish Grand National winner Haiti Couleurs, who bids to keep the prize in Wales.

Welsh Grand National Tips
Tip: COLLECTORS ITEM
Best odds of 11/1 at the time of publishing.
Architect Tips has picked out a 11/1 shot in the big race.
Jonjo O’Neill has a good record in the Welsh National, and off a handy weight, COLLECTORS ITEM could go well. He’s unproven over this distance, but has often shaped like it would suit when on a going day, likewise when staying on well to finish second in last season’s London National. I liked his comeback run when runner-up here earlier this month, and that eye-catching pipe opener should have put him spot on for this assignment. Five places are widely available.
