Who is favourite to win the 2025 Welsh Grand National?

Jubilee Express heads the Welsh Grand National as the 5/1 favourite (William Hill) after a perfect warm-up in the Chepstow Trial, where he beat Collectors Item by 2½ lengths. Last year’s runner-up, who has won a hurdle and two chases from 2m 4f to 3m 4f, carries a 4lb penalty for that recent success. Trainer Sam Thomas is confident there’s more to come, noting the eight-year-old is now more battle-hardened and experienced in bigger races, making him a serious contender to finally claim Wales’s biggest jumps prize.

Rock My Way heads into the Welsh Grand National as the second favourite (6/1 with BetMGM) after a commanding victory in the Berkshire National at Ascot, where he won by 11 lengths on his second run following a wind operation. The seven-year-old, who finished fifth in last spring’s Scottish National, has steadily progressed and ticks plenty of boxes for trainer Joe Tizzard, who describes this as a long-term target. With experience over extended trips and a career-best performance fresh in the memory, Rock My Way looks set to make a serious challenge.
