A major trial for the 1000 Guineas is run today at Newmarket.
Aidan O'Brien's dual Group 1 winner Sun Goddess is the favourite for the 2027 1000 Guineas at a best price of 7/4.
She heads the market ahead of today's bet365 Fillies' Mile at Newmarket, which is the last major juvenile fillies' race of the season and a major juvenile trial for the 1000 Guineas.
The Fillies' Mile goes off at 2.57pm on the Rowley Mile, live on ITV. Charlie Appleby's unbeaten Musical Times is the 1/2 favourite, and she is also the horse who could shake up the Guineas betting the most. Most bookmakers price her at 7/2 to 5/1 for next year's Classic.

Sun Goddess 1000 Guineas favourite
Sun Goddess has won three Group 1s this season. She took the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh in August, then the Moyglare Stud Stakes by 6½ lengths from Green Empress, and then the Cheveley Park Stakes by a length from Libertango on 26 September. She set a course record of 1:09.08 in the Cheveley Park.
O'Brien said after Newmarket: "She looks a freak." The daughter of Sioux Nation has not been confirmed for the Guineas, and connections are still considering the Breeders' Cup. O'Brien won this year's 1000 Guineas with True Love, his eighth success in the race.
Appleby's runner Musical Times is the second favourite at 5/1. Appleby won the Fillies' Mile with Desert Flower in 2024, and she went on to win the 1000 Guineas
Juddmonte's Amusingly is the third favourite at 10/1 after she beat the colts in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère on Arc weekend. Her trainer Francis Graffard has played down the Guineas, saying: "I think she is more of a Commonwealth Cup filly than a Guineas filly for next year."
Green Empress, who won the Prix Marcel Boussac by a head for Joseph O'Brien on the same day, is 16/1. Her trainer called her "a 1,600-metre filly" who could "step up to 2,000 metres".

Musical Times is three from three and won the May Hill Stakes at Doncaster by 7½ lengths. Her official rating of 115 is the best in the field. Appleby said: "Musical Times ticks a lot of boxes… she's a worthy favourite and the one to beat." He has already said of her Classic prospects: "I see no reason why she's not a 1,000 Guineas filly."
Appleby won the Fillies' Mile with Desert Flower in 2024, and she went on to win the 1000 Guineas. Last year's winner Precise was the beaten favourite at Newmarket in May. The two fillies she beat in the Fillies' Mile, Evolutionist and Venetian Lace, finished second and third behind True Love.
Ed Bethell's Rogue Passion is the second favourite at 11/2. She won the Group 2 Prix d'Aumale at Longchamp, and that form has been boosted since. The filly she beat by a neck, Amusingly, went on to win the Lagardère, and the third, Data, was second in the Boussac.
Andrew Balding's unbeaten Forbidden Fire, ridden by Oisin Murphy, is the third favourite at 7/1. She won the Listed Flying Scotsman at Doncaster against colts.
Fillies' Mile Result and the Guineas Market
A clear win for Musical Times would likely see her challenge Sun Goddess at the top of the 1000 Guineas betting. The 2027 1000 Guineas is pencilled in for early May at Newmarket.
