By October 28th, there was over £200 million matched on the Exchange, and at that time had already become the biggest betting event. In the end, there was £480 million matched, with £131 million of that coming on Election Night and beyond.
These numbers are astronomical and just go to show how much of an appetite there is for betting on such a huge event.
At the time of writing, there has already been £104,364,613 matched on the Election Winner market on Betfair Exchange. In total, there has been over £157 million matched across all markets, which suggests the 2024 US Election may even surpass the famous 2020 Election.
