Donald Trump is favoured in 47 out of 50 states for 2020 Election

Trump is favoured in 94% of all states by punters.

Donald Trump is the most popular pick to win the presidency in 47 out of 50 states across the USA, as punters across the pond continue to back the controversial 72-year-old.

Only in Alabama, Utah and West Virginia is the current president not the most popular pick among punters.

Having taken office in January 2017, Trump has received the lions share of bet slip clicks from across the country, with a spate of bet slip clicks placed over the last week.

In total, 62% of all bet slip clicks over the previous seven days have been placed on Trump, dwarfing every other candidate in the process.

That’s cut his odds of winning office again from 2/1 into just 6/4, signifying a momentum boost for Trump from bookmakers.

The closest person in betting popularity to Trump is Democrat Elizabeth Warren, who’s received 14% of all interest over the same time period.

Another Democrat in the shape of American attorney and politician, Kamala Harris, has attracted 9% of all punting interest.

Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “The value of American interest in UK odds may initially seem questionable, but we at Oddschecker have seen a definite correlation to American opinion in the past.

“Despite being the outsider in the 2016 election, Trump had more US bet slip clicks than Hilary Clinton as he went on to land the upset. The trends suggest that he still has the public support.”
