Dominic Raab shortened up to be next Prime Minister after resignation

The former Brexit Secretary is just 4/1 in places to be next PM.

Dominic Raab has been cut from 16/1 last night into just 4/1 in places to be the next Prime Minister after resigning on Thursday morning and heaping further misery on Theresa May.

The current Prime Minister has endured a day of chaos with several high-ranking politicians resigning from their posts as May has released a draft deal of her Brexit plans.

Raab was in charge of helping secure a deal for the UK but stated in his resignation letter that he ‘cannot support the proposed deal’, which would see an indefinite backstop agreement in place.

The news has seen Raab’s to succeed May tumble, from as big as 16/1 last night to just 4/1 in places.

A best price of 13/2 is currently available, although this could change imminently.

Elsewhere, Jeremy Corbyn is the favourite in the market at 5/1, with Boris Johnson third-fav at 8/1.

Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “With it looking increasingly likely that Theresa May is on borrowed time at no.10, speculation is rife as to who will replace her. Raab is an obvious candidate after his resignation, and punters were quick to act which has seen the odds tumble.”
