
68% of bets on the market have gone on Nigel Farage’s new party.
Bookies have installed the new Brexit Party as 6/4 second favourites to gain the most seats at the next European Parliament elections, with 2/1 the best price on offer.
Launched yesterday by former UKIP leader Nigel Farage, the Brexit Party comes as a response to Theresa May’s agreed extension to Brexit which is likely to lead to European Parliament elections in the UK next month.
Punters have wasted no time in backing Farage’s party to achieve their goal, with a significant 68% of bets on the market in the last 24 hours going their way.
The party is said to have 70 candidates for the elections, with one revealed as Annunziata Rees-Mogg, the sister of infamous Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg.
Labour remain the current favourites, priced at evens. Meanwhile, the Conservatives have drifted out to 7/1.
