The exit poll was good news for Boris Johnson.
After the 10pm exit poll indicated Boris Johnson was set to secure a working majority in the General Election, bookmakers have slashed odds for this eventuality to as short as 1/500.
This gives an implied probability of 99.8%, with the Tories predicted to gain 50 new seats.
It also spells a crushing defeat for Jeremy Corbyn and Labour, who are set to lose a whopping 71 seats.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “If the exit polls are to be believed, this is a devastating defeat for Labour.
“With Brexit the crux of Boris Johnson’s campaign, it appears many previously Labour-supporting, Leave-voting constituencies have jumped ship in order to support the Conservatives.
