The 2020 US Presidential Election is now the event upon which the most money has been matched in the history of the Betfair Exchange.

How much money has been wagered on the Election?
The previous record was held by the 2016 US Election, where nearly £199m was staked on whether Donald Trump of Hillary Clinton would become the 45th President of the United States.
Earlier this week, however, the amount of money matched on the upcoming election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden surpassed the previous record and this morning saw it pass the £200million milestone.
Based on past volume trends, Betfair Exchange have said the 2020 election could break £400m by the close.
There is still six days to go until the election, so an incredible amount is still yet to be punted on the event.

Who will win the 2020 US Election?
Donald Trump trails in the market, with his odds at time of writing listed at 15/8 (Betfred are a stand out price currently), which carries an implied chance of 34.78%. His Democrat rival Joe Biden has odds of 10/19, which puts him in the driving seat with a 65.53% chance.
Biden is still firmly ahead in the market and polls, but the race is far from over.
