Who is the favourite to win the 2024 US Election?

As Super Tuesday approaches and US states choose their candidates for president, Donald Trump leads the betting as favourite to be become the next US president.

Despite the name, this Super Tuesday does not appear to be particularly super, as each party has clear front-runners.

Donald Trump is a strong favourite to be the Republican candidate in the presidential election, with a best price of 1/16 (an implied chance of 94%). Meanwhile, current president, Joe Biden is 2/5 (an implied chance of 71%) to be the Democratic candidate.

Both candidates look exceedingly likely to represent their respective parties according to the odds.

Looking ahead to the election, which takes place on November 5th, Donald Trump is the favourite to defeat Biden and become the next US president in what will be the first election rematch in 70 years.

The 77-year-old will be hoping for a second term as America's president after his first term as the 45th president ended with his supporters staging an armed attack on the Capitol, resulting in multiple indictments and felony charges for the self-proclaimed billionaire.

His opponent, Joe Biden, will be the oldest major-party presidential candidate in history, attempting to retain his position and fend off Donald Trump's efforts for the second election in a row.

Who is the favourite to win the 2024 US Election?

Candidate Best Price Implied Chance
Donald Trump 1/1 50%
Joe Biden 12/5 29%
Michelle Obama 9/1 10%
Gavin Newsom 16/1 5.9%
Kamala Harris 25/1 3.8%
Robert Kennedy Jr 28/1 3.4%
Nikki Haley 28/1 3.4%

Is Michelle Obama running for President?

Michelle Obama, the former first lady, is the third favourite in the betting to become the next US president. With questions about Biden's age and health, it is unclear whether he can serve a second term as President.

As a result, former President Barack Obama's wife appears to be the Democratic front-runner in the event that Biden is replaced. She has a best price of 9/1 at Paddy Power and Betfair (an implied chance of 10%) to win the election if this occurs.

Other Candidates for The US Presidential Election

Gavin Newson, the Democratic Governor of California, has been accused of running a "shadow campaign" in the event that Biden withdraws from the race before November and he is forced to take over. His current best price is 16/1 at Betfred (an implied chance of 5.9%).

Current Vice President Kamala Harris is the next name on the list to become the next president. She has been widely criticised during her stint serving President Biden and would have to improve her public image if she were to have any chance. She currently has a best price of 25/1, giving her just a 3.8% implied chance.
