It’s Super Tuesday in the US as the race for the White House continues.
Tuesday March 5th 2024, or Super Tuesday, marks exactly eight months to the day that the next US President will be officially elected to office.
It’s a hugely pivotal day in the race for the White House, but what is Super Tuesday and what will it mean for Donald Trumps’s 2024 Presidential Election Odds?
What is Super Tuesday?
Super Tuesday is the day where the highest number of US states will hold Presidential primaries, or caucuses, where party delegates will submit who they wish to be the candidate for each political party come 5th November, 2024.
15 states will be holding primaries, while two will be conducting caucuses. That means there are roughly one-third of delegates can be won, providing the clearest indication of who the candidate for the parties will be - hence the ‘Super’.
As things stand, those candidates will once again be incumbent President, Joe Biden, for the Democrats, and former President from 2016-2020, Donald Trump for the Republicans.
Should both, as expected, make it down to the final furlong, it would be the first presidential rematch since Eisenhower vs Stevenson in 1956.

Donald Trump 2024 Presidential Election Odds
Trump has won almost all of the primaries that have been held so far, but did lose out to Republican rival, Nikki Haley, in the Washington D.C. primary for their party. Though, he’s not exactly popular in those parts.
Haley’s victory in D.C. is a hollow one. She currently has 43 delegates to Trump’s 247. The Republican candidate needs a total of 1,215 delegates to claim the Presidential candidacy.
865 will be allocated on Super Tuesday, meaning that, mathematically, if Trump were to win every delegate on Tuesday, he would be only 103 delegates shy of confirming his candidacy.
The odds point to an all-out Trump win, he is 1/20 to be named the Republican candidate - it is estimated that the earliest this will be official is 12th March, but a big result on Super Tuesday will all but confirm it. To put it into perspective, Nikki Haley is 20/1.
As for his Next President Odds, Trump comes in evens at 1/1 (Sky Bet), while Joe Biden - who has zero threat to his Democrat candidacy - is 12/5 (bet365) to be the next US President.
A rousing result for Trump on Super Tuesday could see his odds slashed further come normal Wednesday.
