Oddschecker spokesperson Sam Eaton said: “This is the most drastic odds movement we’ve seen in the market since it opened following Joe Biden’s win in 2020.
Joe Biden is now odds-against to be the Democratic candidate, which is astonishing given he was 1/16 to be the candidate at the start of June, which implied a 94% chance he would be running.
“Joe Biden’s odds to be the Democratic Candidate now stand at 6/4 (best price 13/8 on Betway), which imply he’s got around a 40% chance of taking on Donald Trump."
Eaton continued: “Kamala Harris has seen her Democratic Candidate odds cut from 40/1 to as short as 13/8 in the last month. This implies her chance of running has gone from 2.4% to 38%.
