Since the Tweet was sent, 81% of all bets have backed a reunion
Odds have been slashed from 20/1 into just 7/1 that Manchester band Oasis perform on stage together this year, following a Tweet sent by Liam Gallagher.
Since the Tweet was sent at 6:39 pm last night, a whopping 81% of all bets in the market have backed ‘yes’ on whether the band will get back together.
The legendary frontman took to social media, stating: “Listen seriously a lot of people think I’m a c*** and I am a good looking c*** but once this is put to bed we need to get oasis back for a 1 of gig rite for charity c’mon Noel we can then go back to our amazing solo careers c’mon you know LG.”
That sparked a betting frenzy on the famous brothers putting their differences to one side, with odds being cut by more than half.
Odds have also been cut on the band getting back together in 2021, from 12/1 into just 8/1.
It’s 7/1 that Oasis perform on stage together in 2022.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Some Might Say that Oasis reuniting is Half the World Away, but Liam Gallagher's reconciliatory tweet to his brother has sent a Supersonic Shockwave through the music world, D'You Know What I Mean?
"Fans from All Around the World will be praying Noel answers Liam's request to Stand By Me, but the odds still suggest Oasis will not Live Forever, but Slide Away."
