Six Nations Odds: Who are the favourites to win the Six Nations 2024?

England are the third favourites to win the Six Nations 2024 despite going the furthest at last year's Rugby World Cup in France.

Jamie George is the man tasked with spearheading a revitalised England squad for the 2024 Six Nations after the Saracens hooker was named as Steve Borthwick’s new captain this morning.

George has taken the role from club mate Owen Farrell, England’s record point scorer, who has opted to miss this year’s tournament to focus on his club rugby.

The 32-year-old Farrell has 112 international caps since making his debut in 2012 and 48 as captain, winning 31, drawing two and losing 15 of those matches.

George, meanwhile, has 85 caps for England since his debut in 2015. He has no experience leading England but did captain the British & Irish Lions on the 2021 tour of South Africa.

Who is the favourite to win the Six Nations 2024?

The 2022 Grand Slam winners France are the bookmakers’ favourites to win the 2024 Six Nations at a best price of 13/10 (implied 43% chance).

However, they will be without star man and captain Antoine Dupont, who will miss the tournament on Olympic sevens duty. Gregory Alldritt will captain France in his absence.

The reigning champions and Grand Slam winners, Ireland, are the second favourites to win this year’s tournament at a general 6/4 through oddschecker.

In keeping with the theme of missing captains for the 2024 Six Nations, Ireland will be without the recently retired Johnny Sexton. Forwards James Ryan and Caelan Doris are the likeliest candidates to replace Ireland's record point scorer.

England, meanwhile, are a 6/1 chance on BetMGM to win the Six Nations for the first time since 2020 despite closing the tournament with a trip to the favourites France in Paris.
