The worlds best road cyclists will take to Paris to tackle the 273km route today.
The world's top riders are gearing up for the men's road race, which begins today, Saturday, August 3rd.
Leading Team GB's medal hopes are Tom Pidcock and Josh Tarling as the former goes on search of his second gold of the games having already secured a victory in the mountain biking on monday.
However, they will face stiff competition from reigning world road race champion Mathieu van der Poel and Remco Evenepoel, who already secured gold in the time trial and recently finished third in the Tour de France.
Interestingly, the reigning champion Richard Carapaz will not be participating this year, as Narvaez has been controversially selected ahead of him.

Who is the favourite to win the Olympic Road Race?
The current favorite to win the men's Olympic road race is world road race champion Mathieu van der Poel, with odds of 5/2 at Sky Bet.
The Dutch rider, a three-time Tour of Flanders champion, has also won Paris-Roubaix and Dwars door Vlaanderen twice each, along with other notable one-day races. Entering the road race relatively fresh, he has only competed in the Tour de France since mid-April and should be raring to go.
The second favorite is Remco Evenepoel, with odds of 11/2 at Sky Bet.
Evenepoel will be attempting to become the first person to win both the Olympic time-trial and road race in the same year, as he aims to secure Belgium's second gold of the Olympics.
Third favorite is fellow Belgian, Wout Van Aert, with odds of 7/1 at Spreadex.
Van Aert secured bronze in the time-trial and will be hoping to improve on his Tokyo 2020 silver medal.
However, there are questions about whether the Belgian will ride for himself or support his teammate Evenepoel.
