Who will be crowned the fastest man in the world tonight in Paris?
Of the myriad of events at the Summer Olympics, the Men’s 100m draws the most fanfare. It’s a chance to not only be crowned the Olympic Champion, but the fastest man in the world.
When is the Men’s 100m Final?
Paris’ Stade de France will host the Men’s 100m final on Sunday evening at 8:50 BST, with the semi-finals coming earlier on in the evening.
Will 2020 champion, Marcell Jacobs, hold onto his crown, or will we see a new victor on the track?

Italian Jacobs is actually fairly far down the pecking order, with bookies giving up to 66/1 (Betfred) for a second successive victory. He is the reigning European Champion, but will likely need to better his 10.05 in the first round to advance to the final - and win. Plus, he’ll be facing stiff competition from a host of athletes including from the USA team.
Their big hope is Noah Lyles, who is very much in the literal running for gold. Lyles bested the field in the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, and ran a PB of 9.82 earlier this year. He’s on form, and he’s 5/2 (Sky Bet) to take the first American 100m gold in 20 years.
But, Lyles was beaten in his first round heat by breakthrough Brit, Louie Hinchliffe. The Sheffield born British Champion ran a sub-10 in the heat to pip Lyles by six-tenths of a second. They are only heats of course, but the signs are good for the 22 year old.
His best odds are 100/1 (LiveScoreBet), while some bookies have him down at 35/1 (Paddy Power). He’s an outside bet for sure, but Britain’s best one.

Who is the favourite to win the 100m final?
Kishane Thompson is the bookmakers' favourite to take gold. The Jamaican ran 10-flat in the first round and will no doubt turn on the afterburners in the semis and final. At 4/6 (William Hill) he is the standout pick.
A second Jamaican hope also comes in the rapid form of Oblique Seville, who is third-favourite with bookies at 14/1. Can they bring gold back to Jamaica?
Elsewhere, Americans Kenny Bednarek and Fred Kerley were the two fastest first round qualifiers, both clocking in at 9.97. Bednarek’s best odds are 25/1 and Kerley’s 33/1.
