As CBB returns tonight at 9pm, we've had a look at all the early odds and compared them to each housemate's Twitter following.
The new year brings another series of Celebrity Big Brother and after much speculation the housemates have been officially announced. Let’s have a look at their pre-show chances according to the bookies, compared to their popularity on social media.
Returning housemate, Calum Best, is the early favourite at best-price 7/1, having finished third in the January 2015 series of the show. Despite having over two million fewer followers than Heidi and Spencer, and over a million fewer than Ray J, Calum is the overwhelming favourite to win.
With an enormous combined following of over 2.5 million, and having finished second in a 2011 series of the show, it’s perhaps surprising that Spencer and Heidi (or Speidi) aren’t the bookmakers’ favourite. They’re best price 12/1.
CBB bosses have allegedly forked out a seven-figure sum to get Ray J on the show. The American is as long as 16/1 to go all the way despite having a whopping 1.6 million followers on Twitter. Time will tell whether he can warm to the UK audience.
Ranging between 8/1 and 14/1, the bookies do not know what to make of Jamie O’Hara’s chances. The 30-year-old midfielder is currently without a club having had his contract terminated by Gillingham in September, and is perhaps the most surprising addition to the house. He is following in the footsteps of ex-wife Danielle Lloyd, who took part in the 2007 series.
