Odds tumble for Sinead pushing Ken Barlow down the stairs

Betting intensifies following Sinead Tinker suggesting herself and Daniel need to escape.

Following the most recent episode of Coronation Street on Friday evening. there’s been plenty of betting activity surrounding the show’s latest storyline. Punters have been gripped by Corrie’s new ‘whodunit’ saga, trying to figure out the guilty suspect of pushing cobble’s legend Ken Barlow down the stairs.

Dramatic twists and turns in one of the UK’s most loved soaps has led to the betting market swinging one way to another. However, this weekend was the first time Oddschecker have witnessed a real spike in betting over the potential suspect. Sinead Tinker, the girlfriend of Ken’s son Daniel, has been a front-runner in the market due to her relationship with Barlow, as it appears she’s never been good enough in Ken’s eyes. The surge in betting intensified following Sinead’s admission she and he partner (Daniel Osbourne) were stuck in a routine, and need to escape.

Almost 73% of bets placed on the market since the latest show have been on Sinead Tinker, which has led to her odds being cut from 28/1 to 16/1. Just a week ago Sinead could have been backed at a massive 100/1 to be found guilty.

Ken’s son, Daniel remains favourite at 1/6, and many think he pushed his father after the latter threatened Sinead over her pregnancy which led to her abortion. Another family member linked with the crime is Simon Barlow; Ken’s grandson has been cut from 33/1 to 28/1 this morning.
