With one of Love Island’s biggest ever twists around the corner, it’s time to see who could win the series, according to the odds
Marcel’s journey in the Love Island villa didn’t really get going until Gabby entered with Tyne-Lexy a couple of weeks in, but bookmakers are backing the pair to coast to victory. Both were as long as 8/1 to be top boy and top girl respectively when Gabby joined the show but on the back of their blossoming romance, they have shortened to odds-on favourites. Marcel is now best price 8/11 to be top boy, with Gabby 10/11 in the girl’s market.
Elsewhere, Jonny is the second favourite to be top boy at 11/4 but given his awkward situation with Camilla and Tyla, his price is likely to change as things unravel. Camilla and Tyla are 11/5 and 10/1 to be top girl respectively. The only other ‘couple’ in the villa are Chris and Olivia, who are priced at 10/1 and 16/1 to top their respective categories. Clearly the bookies don’t back them to last.
As far as the rest of the boys are concerned, Dom, Kem and Simon are all best price 16/1 to be top boy. Kem is as short as 8/1 with one bookie. Montana is the fourth favourite girl at 12/1 whilst Amber is 20/1.
Interestingly, it’s Chris that has had the most amount of bets placed via Oddschecker on the top boy market, accounting for 64%. With 61% of bets placed, Olivia is top of the pile for the girls. Could the 10/1 and 16/1 available on these two be good value?
