Kevin Davy White becomes a potential frontrunner for the X Factor 2017

French singer immediately installed as second favourite and is already being backed

Week two of the new X Factor series has brought a new contender in France’s Kevin Davy White. The guitarist wowed the judges and must have impressed the bookies too, with the 29-year old becoming second favourite in the market. He currently can be backed at 10/1 to take this year’s crown.

Since the latest episode went to air on Saturday night almost 15% of bets have been on Davy White, with only fellow debutant Rebecca Grace and current frontrunner Grace Davies being more heavily backed.

Grace also received four yesses in last night’s episode and the 20-year old from Essex has been backed by 34% of bettors since performing a cover of Kelly Clarkson’s Piece by Piece. The bookies have been less willing to back her however, installing her at 33/1 in the market.

Davies is still the hot favourite at a best-priced 9/2 and multiple double-figure bets have already been staked on the 20-year old.

Whilst Louis Walsh has only been a winning-judge once, he is 5/2 favourite to be the winning judge. He has only received 12% of bets however, with the largest support being Simon Cowell who has been backed by 40% of bettors. He can be found at 10/3, whilst Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osborne are 11/4 and 3/1 respectively.
