We’ve put the celebs in order based on their follower count on the Social Media site.
We’re so close to the return of the 17th series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! And the November tradition (once again featuring hosts Ant and Dec) will have viewers laughing, squirming and voting to crown the new King or Queen of the jungle.
Picking a winner is always tough when the celebrities are yet to appear on our screens, but we’ve turned to Twitter in the hope of picking out some value. We’ve ranked the celebrities according to their follower count on the site and displayed their current odds to win.
#11: Stanley Johnson (@StanleyPJohnson) – 568 Followers
The father of everyone’s favourite/least favourite (delete where applicable) politician Boris, not much is known about the oldest celeb in the camp. This transcends to Twitter, where his page has been specially made for his appearance on the show. Despite this, he’s been installed as the third favourite to win, priced at 8/1.
#10: Dennis Wise (@DennisWise) – 19,664 Followers
The former Chelsea captain and Leeds Manager is a surprise entrant, as the 50-year old isn’t exactly known for the Reality TV lifestyle. This would explain the lack of followers on his account, which will be ‘manned by friends and family’. One of the also rans at 14/1.
#9: Rebekah Vardy (@RebekahVardy) – 37,053 Followers
The wife of Leicester striker Jamie, the model enjoys a moderate following and was busy this week taking on people that were leaving less than complimentary messages! She’s a longshot at 20/1.
#8: Kezia Dugdale (@kezdugdale) – 75,905 Followers
It’s not been confirmed that the Scottish politician will appear on the show but the rumours have been swirling for long enough now and she has been installed as a 10/1 shot.
#7: Georgia Toffolo (@ToffTalks) – 118,850 Followers
The Made In Chelsea star seems like a sure thing to do well in this competition given her Reality background, but it’s surprising to find that she only has the 7th most amount of followers and is a big 10/1 price for the win.
#6: Shappi Khorsandi (@ShappiKhorsandi) – 155,952 Followers
The comedienne is a well-known name when compared to some of her camp-mates and is a prolific tweeter with almost 21,000 posts. Hoping to bring some warm humour into the camp, she’ll be looking to do better than what the bookies predict, as she’s a 16/1 shot.
#5: Jamie Lomas (@JamieLomas1) – 169,917 Followers
The Hollyoaks actor should do well given his likeable nature and strong follower base. He’s been installed as 3rd favourite at 8/1 so he could be a dark horse for the crown.
#4: Jennie McAlpine (@JennieMcAlpine) – 271,840 Followers
Best known as Fizz in Coronation Street, McAlpine will be well known to ITV viewers. She has a multitude of followers and the bookies believe she has every chance to be queen of the jungle: She’s been installed as a big favourite at 7/2.
#3: Vanessa White (@VanessaWhite) – 490,665 Followers
Singer in The Saturdays, White will be following in the Reality footsteps of Rochelle Humes and Mollie King, both of whom appeared on Strictly Come Dancing. Despite being popular on Twitter, she’s one of the outsiders to win at 20/1.
#2 Jack Maynard (@Jack_Maynard23) – 633,320 Followers
The YouTube star should enjoy the support of the younger demographic and his fanbase you would think will be active in voting for him. He has tweeted more than any of the other celebrities (26,000 posts and counting) and is second favourite to win, priced at 6/1.
#1: Amir Khan (@AmirKingKhan) – 2,272,908 Followers
When you are a former World Champion boxer and one of the biggest and most recognisable names in your sport in the UK, you would expect Khan to enjoy a degree of popularity. However, he is out of his comfort zone and you cannot imagine a lot of his huge 2.2 million follower count will be watching him in the jungle. As such, Khan is 16/1.
So whilst there may be something in follower count, there some discrepancies. Below is the list of the celebrities in order of their odds and how it compares to the list above.
1st Jennie McApline (7/2) (+3)
2nd Jack Maynard (6/1) (-)
3rd Jamie Lomas (8/1) (+2)
