The former world champion was cut to 8/1 to win after a defiant display in the most recent Bushtucker Trial.
Amir Khan was nicknamed Amir Khan’t after his feeble first attempt at a Bushtucker Trial - where he uttered the famous words ‘I’m a Celebrity get me out of here’ - causing him and fellow camp mate Georgia Toffolo to return empty handed and leaving his co-stars for another night.
The former light-welterweight world champion was then given the opportunity for redemption, as he was voted to face the next trial ‘Flushed Out’. Khan came out defiant and managed to successfully complete the challenge, returning to Croc Creek with a meal ticket in hand.
His efforts did not go unnoticed and his determination to not throw in the towel in order to not let his camp mates down was apparent, causing bookmakers to slash his odds from 16/1 to as short as 6/1. The 30-year-old from Bolton is now fifth in the market with 8/1 the best price available.
Georgia (aka 'Toff') also saw her position as favourite consolidated, her and Stanley Johnson providing the entertainment on their joint challenge where they managed to win brownies for the camp. Toff’s odds were cut from 7/2 to as short as 2/1 with a couple of bookmakers, implying they believe she has a 33.3% chance of winning the show at this stage.
