It’s been an up and down few weeks in camp for Iain Lee but it seems that he's riding a wave of popularity with viewers and punters alike as his odds to win this year's I’m A Celeb have been drastically cut.
He’s been tested with some brutal Bushtucker trials but has battled gamely to overcome his fear of water and heights and despite his campmates appearing to be less than supportive, he could be in line to become the first ‘King’ of the jungle since 2014.
His odds were as big as 22/1 yesterday morning, but after last night’s episode aired, the 44-year old became as short as 6/1 with one bookie.
Lee is the most popular pick since last night’s show with a quarter of all bets going on him and he can be currently found at a best price of 12/1.
Georgia Toffolo remains the firm favourite however, with the reality star a best price 1/4 to become the third consecutive ‘Queen’ of the jungle.
Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “Rebekah Vardy has faced criticism for her treatment of Iain Lee, but the situation has seemingly softened the public view of him. Whilst Georgia is still the heavy favourite, Lee now looks like a real contender after being a huge price previously to win the series."
