The Good Morning Britain presenter has caused mayhem in the betting with a single tweet.
Given the amount of tweets Piers Morgan tends to send a day and with the majority looking to get a few cheap bites from public, it would be easy to ignore a simple picture he uploaded today. However, both punters and bookmakers have taken note of the image he uploaded this morning.
Morgan tweeted a selfie of himself in a hairdressers, with the caption ‘My royal wedding week glamour squad.’ There’s a massive chance Piers is just tweeting this to boil the blood of some people but bookies are starting to think there’s a realistic chance he’ll be attending the big day.
Last week, the bookies believed Piers Morgan had the same chance of attending Harry and Meghan’s big day as Danny Dyer, with them pricing him at 100/1. However, following his tweet from the hairdressers, and others claiming he played an integral role in setting up the Royal couple, the bookies have cut his odds to as short as 10/1.
According to Betfair, he now has a better chance of attending than Simon Cowell, Angela Merkel and Boris Johnson.
Oddschecker spokesman, George Elek said "Given how vocal Piers Morgan has been on Twitter about a few of Markle's relatives, it's hard to see him being invited. However, a movement from 100/1 to 10/1 can't be ignored. The latest odds suggest he has a 9.1% chance of attending".
