Bookies give a 75% chance that Jaime Lannister will murder his own sister in final series

UK Bookmakers announce shock odds for the bitter family feud to end in murder

Jaime Lannister and sister Cersei have a somewhat interesting relationship in Game of Thrones. During the seven series to date, they have had sex, raised a king, saw all three of their children die and had a giant bust-up over broken promises made with Daenerys and Jon Snow.

Jaime was last seen leaving King’s Landing alone and heading to Winterfell following the fall out with his sister. That’s prompted fans to believe he will join forces with Jon Snow, not only to fight the Night King, but also hold off any advances from his sister.

It’s just a matter of time before the two Lannister siblings meet again, and bookies don’t expect this to be a welcome reunion. The bookmakers believe there is a 75% chance that Jaime Lannister will kill his ex-lover/sister in the final series of Game of Thrones.

Even if it’s not Jaime doing the killing, it looks very likely that Cersei will be killed off during the series’ swansong, as the bookies have given odds of 1/20, which implies a 95% chance. However, this isn’t expected to be in the first episode, at odds of 20/1 and will more likely happen towards the grand finale.

Oddschecker spokesperson, George Elek: “Though Jaime and Cersei had been continuing their incestuous relationship for the last couple of seasons, the cracks were showing well before their separation at the end of season 7.

“It looks to be a sure thing at 1/3 for Jaime to complete his zero to hero turnaround from the start of the show by putting an end to Cersei’s tyrannous reign over Westeros.”
