Bookies have cut the former Game of Thrones actor from 200/1 to 11/10 to be the next 007.

Starting out as far as 14/1 yesterday, and as big as 200/1 back in June, some bookies now price him as short as 11/10 to be the new 007. With every bet placed through our site in the past 24 hours going on Madden, he’s now the favourite at a best price of 6/4.
Once better known for his role as the eldest of the Stark children in Game of Thrones, Richard Madden became the BBC’s pin-up boy after Bodyguard attracted record peak viewing figures of 11m in its final episode. It’s no surprise that the heartthrob at the centre of one of the most watched dramas of the last decade across British television is being heavily linked to arguably the most iconic role in British film.
True Detective Director Cary Fukunaga is confirmed for the next instalment of the franchise, currently only known as ‘Bond 25’, which is almost certainly going to be Daniel Craig’s last in the role.
The star of another of the BBC’s recent hits, The Night Manager, was the previous bookies’ favourite. Tom Hiddleston was odds-on in places, but now available at 5/2. Meanwhile, Luther’s Idris Elba slips back to a 6/1.
