Dwayne Johnson's odds have fluctuated in recent weeks and he's being well-backed.
The Rock is no stranger to appearing in Royal Rumble events, and the Hollywood megastar is being backed to win the 2019 event, 19 years after his first victory.
The 46-year-olds odds have been fluctuating over the last few weeks but his odds have gone from 33/1 into 20/1 in places, and he is the person not currently on the roster with the shortest price.
He has also received a quarter of all bets this month, with rumours continuing to persist online about a possible appearance at Chase Field, where the yearly extravaganza is being held for the first time.
The current favourite is Seth Rollins, who could follow in the footsteps of ex-Shield partner Roman Reigns with a Rumble win. He’s 7/4 best price, and the best backed selection for January.
Elsewhere in the market, Kenny Omega is 16/1 in places, although a best price of 40/1 is available. His new destination has not been finalised, but an appearance here could be the biggest Wrestling story of the year.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “With an appearance from The Rock still guaranteed to bring in publicity and ratings, combined with the swirling online rumours, means that a bet on the legend returning could still bear fruit, even in 2019.”
