With the final six episodes of Game of Thrones looming large, fans will be chuffed to hear that Cersei Lannister is priced at 1/50 to die in Season 8.
In other words, that’s an implied probability of 98% that the not so lovable wannabe Queen ends up six feet under come the grand finale.
Bookies give her almost no hope of survival, she’s the clear favourite in the wonderfully morbid ‘to die’ market. Only Euron Greyjoy comes close at 1/40, so the equally unpopular brother of Theon is highly likely to perish too.
Stalking round Kings Landing with her pet zombie Mountain won’t save her from those odds and it looks to be more a question of how or when rather than if.
Of course there’s markets covering that too! Brother/lover Jaime Lannister is 10/11 favourite to see her off, with Arya Stark 6/4 to cross another off her list. Meanwhile, the more farfetched ‘Season 8 Cluedo’ market prices ‘with a Dragon in the Throne Room Daenerys Targaryen to kill Cersei Lannister’ at 14/1.
You won’t get rid of her too quickly mind. The daughter of Tywin is expected to hang around like a bad smell until episode 5 or 6, priced at 1/8 as the time of her probably bitter end.
