This key character is now a 2/1 shot to be the hit show's main villain in surprise twist.
Season 5 of the BBC hit Line of Duty comes to an end on Sunday evening with fans across the country desperate to find out who the corrupt policeman known as ‘H’ is.
Steve Arnott and Kate Fleming are the two central characters in the show, working together for AC-12 to try and flush out ‘bent coppers’, but the market suggests that Fleming could be playing the ultimate game of deception.
She is 2/1 favourite to be ‘H’ ahead of Gill Biggeloe (5/2), whose antics when seemingly trying to help Ted Hastings have cast suspicion amongst viewers from the beginning.
Hastings himself may currently be the police’s chief suspect, but that seems too obvious to viewers and he's 5/1, the same price as his wife Roisin in what would also be a dramatic twist.
Arnott looks in the clear at 33/1 having already proven his integrity, although the suspicious former policeman Mark Moffat, who has handed Hastings the incriminating money, looks a huge price at 12/1.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: "It would be a huge surprise if the Line of Duty plot followed the obvious route in Sunday's finale.
"The show's known for its jaw-dropping twists and punters think this series will be no different, with AC-12's sweetheart the latest to take the spotlight in the 'Who is H?' market."
