Curtis and Maura have a paltry 2% chance of winning the show
With Love Island drawing to a finish, punters across the country are scrambling to get their bets on ahead of the grand final tonight (July 29).
But will Mommy-Mae and Tommy stroll to victory? Could Amber and Greg be the dark horse? Can Ovie and India win the show despite coupling late up in the series? Are Curtis and Maura as much of an outside shot as everyone thinks?
Well, Oddschecker crunched the numbers ahead of tonight’s live final.
- Who is the favourite?
No prizes for guessing, Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague are the clear favourites to win the series, prices as 4/6 odds-on shots.
They’ve been favourites for almost the entirety of the show, although their chances have drifted more recently.
At one point, the boxer and social media influencer were pitched as 1/4 shots, indicating an 80% chance of winning the show.
Despite still being favourites, their implied chance of winning now has dropped to 60%, following a flurry of bets on Greg and Amber.
- Who is challenging Tommy and Molly?
It seems like a three-way tussle to be crowned king and queen of the villa, with Amber and Greg the subject of a late spate of bets.
They’ve had their odds cut from 18/1 into 7/4 second-favourites, leapfrogging Ovie and India (that’s particularly difficult to do with someone over seven-foot).
Ovie and India are now 5/1 to win the show, despite being cut all the way into 13/8 a few days ago.
Curtis and Maura look like they have more chance of winning Strictly Come Dancing than Love Island, with the pair priced up at a mammoth 50/1 to waltz to victory.
- Will the winning couple get married?
Tommy and Molly’s soppy chats in the villa have already lead to the pair claiming they want to spend the rest of their lives with each other – and bookies have priced up the possibility.
They predict a 14/1 chance that the winning couple from this year’s show tie the knot by the end of the year.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Tommy and Molly-Mae have been Love Island’s power couple for many weeks now, but while the lovable boxer has won the hearts of thousands across the nation, numerous punters are becoming wary of Molly’s supposed conniving – forcing them to look further afield for their final vote.
"Second-favourites Amber and Greg—the latter’s Irish charm leaving many viewers utterly doe-eyed—will fancy their chances in the final, while India and her ball-spinning hunk Ovie are close third-favs."
