Ex-Pompey keeper David James is the least likely to win
With Love Island taken away from our screens for another year, attention turns to everyone’s favourite show full of sparkles and sequins – Strictly Come Dancing is back.
But who is the early favourite at the bookmakers? What chance does former England keeper David James have of winning? Well, we took a look at the early odds released.
The early favourite is Youtube star Saffron Barker, who has been installed as the 8/1 market leader by multiple different firms.
She’s been the most backed since the market opened, attracting 26% of all bets placed on the eventual winner of the giant glitter ball.
Elsewhere, former EastEnders actress Emma Barton is the second favourite at 12/1, followed by Catherine Tyldesley (14/1) and Chris Ramsey (16/1).
David James is the least likely to win the series, according to bookies, with the former Portsmouth keeper pitched as an 18/1 shot to win.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Joe Sugg showed last year that having a mob of loyal followers online can get you far in this competition so it's no surprise to see this year's YouTube sensation Saffron Barker topping the Strictly market early doors.
"While she'll be adding some valuable spice to this year's line-up, one that's likely to be torn to bits by the likes of Craig Revel Horwood is 6"5 former England keeper David James, a rank outsider at 18/1."
