England’s Jonny Bairstow has shortened from 50/1 into a best price 20/1 for Sports Personality of the Year success.
The 32-year-old has hit the headlines after becoming only the ninth English cricketer to score more than four test centuries in a calendar year.
Jonny Bairstow can do no wrong for England this summer, as he picked up another Test century helping his side achieve a record run chase and win the fifth test against India.
His last five innings have seen him score 136, 162, 71*, 106, and 114*, as England continue to grow under new Head Coach Brendon McCullum.
These impressive performances have seen his price drop from 50/1 to 20/1 in places (33/1 best price) to land the 2022 Sports Personality of the Year.
Winning this award will see him join Ben Stokes (2019) and Andrew Flintoff (2005) as the only cricketers to win the award since the turn of the century.

26% of bets on this market on oddschecker in the past seven days have backed him to win this year’s award, with tennis player Cameron Norrie (best price 28/1) taking 30% of bets.
Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan has been the market favourite to win since equalling Stephen Hendry’s record of seven World Championship titles at the Crucible in May this year.
By winning that seventh crown, he became the oldest winner of the World Championship and would be the oldest winner of the SPOTY if he were to lift the trophy this December.
England Captain Harry Kane and WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury round-off the top three in the market at 10/1 & 12/1 respectively.
