Two TV stars battle it out for favouritism in the latest Strictly Come Dancing odds going into the first live show on Saturday.
It’s time to put on your dancing shoes, as this Saturday night brings the much anticipated first night of Strictly Come Dancing 2023.
Last week’s launch show revealed which professional the celebrities would be paired with, but in what style will they be dancing?
We now know that one of the show’s front runners, actor Layton Williams, will be taking on the Samba in Week 1. It’s a notoriously difficult dance, with a perfect score achieved only twice in the 21 years of Strictly history.
The favourite, Bobby Brazier, will be performing the Foxtrot to All About You by McFly.
Other notable routines for the first night include former Love Islander Zara McDermott Cha-cha-cha-ing and BBC Asian Network presenter Nikita Kanda giving the Waltz a go. Similar to the Samba, both of these styles have only ever received perfect 40s on two occasions on Strictly Come Dancing.
Who is the favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing 2023?
Eastenders actor Bobby Brazier is the bookmakers’ favourite (4/1) to win Strictly Come Dancing 2023. The 20-year-old has apparently been very keen to throw on his dancing shoes at every and any opportunity and expectations are high for the young pretender.
However, with just a momentary glimpse of our celebrity dancers in the launch show, it’s hard to call who will reign supreme and lift the Glitterball trophy just before Christmas.

Strictly Come Dancing 2023 Contestants – The Chasing Pack
Despite the challenge of his opening week Samba, Layton Williams (best price 11/2) is battling The One Show’s Angela Scanlon for the second spot in the latest Strictly Come Dancing odds.
It’s no surprise, as an experienced West End performer Williams knows his way around the boards. Could he deliver a perfect 40 in the very first week?
Speaking of Scanlon, she also presents decent value at a shade shorter in the betting than Williams (best price 9/2), as does another (former) Eastenders heartthrob, Nigel Harman, rated at 6/1 to win.
Behind the four market leaders is fellow soap star, Coronation Street’s Ellie Leach, alongside comedian Eddie Kadi, who come in at 12/1 and 14/1 respectively.
