After a disappointing second last in 2023, the UK has high hopes as the ex-Years and Years frontman seeks to bring home the UK’s sixth Eurovision award with the song ‘Dizzy’.
In last year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Mae Muller concluded the competition in Liverpool by securing the 25th position, receiving just nine public votes and 15 from the jury.
Her song, "I Wrote a Song," paled in comparison to Sweden's contestant and bookmaker favourite before the competition, Loreen, whose song "Tattoo" garnered a staggering total of 587 votes.
In this year's 68th edition of the song contest, the UK representative is Olly Alexander, who will represent them in Malmo, Sweden. Hailing from Harrogate, the singer carries the nation's hopes, aiming to secure their sixth-ever victory.
