Eurovision 2024 Odds: 33% chance Croatia win with Baby Lasagna

Eurovision 2024 Odds: 33% chance Croatia win with Baby Lasagna

Since his landslide victory in the 2024 Dora National Song Contest in Croatia, Baby Lasagna has been backed from 14/1 into as short as 2/1 to win the Eurovision Song Contest this year.

All 37 of the Eurovision 2024 songs have been released for the event in May.

One artist who has particularly caught the attention of music fanatics is Baby Lasagna, who will be performing his song ‘Rim Tim Tagi Dim’ when he represents Croatia.

The singer/songwriter won the right to represent his country after he secured an astonishing 321 points in the Dora Song Contest 2024 (Croatia’s national song contest). The second placed song won just 82 points.

Croatia is yet to taste success in their 30 attempts in this competition, their best finish to date is fourth, which they achieved in 1996 and 1999.

However, there are high hopes that the 2024 edition will change this, as Baby Lasagna and Croatia are current favourites to win.

Their price has dramatically plummeted from a best price of 14/1 to as short as 2/1 at BetVictor (an implied chance of 33%) since the conclusion of the Dora Song Contest in late February.

Eurovision 2024 Odds: Who are the favourites to win?

Country Best Odds Implied Probability (%)
Croatia 3/1 25%
Ukraine 6/1 14%
Italy 7/1 13%
Switzerland 15/2 12%
Netherlands 10/1 9.09%
Belgium 14/1 6.67%
Greece 20/1 4.76%

The country that was knocked off of top stop by Croatia is Ukraine, who are now second favourites. Croatia overtook them at the start of March.

They are represented by Alyona and Jery Heil, who will sing “Teresa and Maria”, in hopes that they can bring Ukraine their fourth victory in the Eurovision Song Contest. They can be found at a best price of 6/1 at Unibet and BetMGM.

Third favourite is Italy’s entrant Angelina Mango and who will be hoping to build on her vast domestic success and awards when she performs her song “La Noia” to the world this May. She can be found at a best price of 7/1 at Sky Bet.

The United Kingdon is a name missing from that list as they have been given just a mere 2.4% chance of winning with English singer and actor, Olly Alexander. They have a best price of 40/1 at Unibet and BetMGM but can be found as short as 14/1 at Sky Bet (an implied chance of 6.7%).

The UK’s longest odds to win were 14/1 on the date of the release of Olly’s song for the competition; ‘Dizzy’ however, they drifted out shortly after.
