Eurovision 2024 Semi-Finals TV Channel, UK Start Time & Latest Betting Odds

The Eurovision semi-finals get underway tonight in Malmo, Sweden. This is what you should know about how to watch and the latest betting.

The Eurovision Song Contest is finally here with the first semi-final taking place tonight, ahead of Saturday’s grand finale.

The UK will be represented by Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander at this year’s competition with his song ‘Dizzy’. He will be hoping he can claim a sixth victory for the UK, after 2023’s contestant Mae Muller finished second-last with 24 points.

As usual, the ‘Big Five’ will not be subjected to a vote in the semi-finals, meaning the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain will all get a pass into the final.

Tonight’s semi-final will consist of 15 participants hoping to make it into the final in Malmo, Sweden, following Loreen’s victory in Liverpool, while semi-final two will see 16 participants eager to qualify.

Eurovision 2024 Betting

After Sweden’s victory last year, Malmo will be hosting this year’s Eurovision Song Contest which kicks off tonight.

The betting has already started with people backing who they think will win, with an early favourite already being established.

The current favourite according to oddschecker is Croatia, who will be represented by Baby Lasagna.

His song, ‘Rim Tim Tagi Dim’ leads the way with best odds of 13/8 with Coral, which would make this Croatia’s first-ever victory at Eurovision in its 68-year history.

Croatia’s closest competitors are expected to be Switzerland, with best odds of 15/4 (BetMGM). They will be represented by Nemo with ‘The Code’ and could provide Croatia with the greatest challenge.

Elsewhere, it’s not looking good for the UK and Olly Alexander with best odds of 90/1 (Paddy Power), with that price having drifted from around 11/2 in January.

The Irish entry fairs quite a bit better with current odds at 16/1, as Bambie Thug will take to the stage in tonight’s semi-final.
