Israel's Eurovision 2024 odds have been slashed from 50/1 to 3/1 after Semi-Final 2.
A huge shake-up in the Eurovision betting markets has seen Israel jump from 8th to second-favourite in the betting to win Saturday’s grand finale.
Sitting at odds of 50/1 heading into Thursday’s Semi-Final, Israel's odds have been slashed on Oddschecker to a remarkable 3/1.
Translating that into implied probability, Israel’s chances of winning on Saturday have improved from 2% to 25% in the opinion of the bookmakers.
Israel has been the most popular bet on Oddschecker to win Saturday’s grand final since Semi-Final 2 started, amassing 31% of the total bets.
That is more than the current betting favourites, Croatia, who have only picked up 18% of the bet share on Oddschecker in the same timeframe.
Previous second-favourites, Switzerland, have seen their odds drift from 3/1 to 6/1 as a result of Israel’s surge up the odds boards.
Italian broadcaster, RAI revealed the results of the Italian televote results last night despite the fact that the results are supposed to be revealed during the Grand Final. It showed that Israel had an impressive 39.31% of the votes in Italy.
