Strictly Come Dancing Lineup
JB Gill and Tasha Ghouri might the frontrunners with the bookmakers but there is a supporting cast ready to upset the odds. In fact, the new Strictly Come Dancing lineup includes three others with a starting price of 9/1 or shorter – Shayne Ward, Montell Douglas and Sam Quek.
Ward (15/2) was the Series 2 winner of the X Factor and Quek (8/1) was one of the golden girls in GB’s Rio 2016 Olympics hockey team, while Douglas is one of the big market movers – in from 20/1 before the launch show to 9/1 on Paddy Power.
TOWIE’s Pete Wicks (20/1) is the other big mover in the right direction, in from 20/1 to 10/1, while Jamie Borthwick - who has starred as Jay Brown in Eastenders since 2006 - is among the bigger drifters at 10/1 having been 6/1 last week.
Completing the four-strong sporting contingent alongside Quek and Douglas are ‘Magic Man’ Paul Merson (100/1) and three-time Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Tom Dean (40/1).
The remaining spots are taken by Miranda co-star Sarah Hadland (14/1), presenter Nick Knowles (100/1), comedian Chris McCausland (14/1), Morning Live doctor Punam Krishan (33/1), singers Toyah Wilcox (33/1) and ‘Mr Go Compare’ Wynne Evans (33/1).
Who is the favourite to be eliminated first from Strictly?
Paul Merson is the bookmakers’ favourite to be first eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2024 at 5/2 on bet365. DIY SOS host Nick Knowles comes second at 7/2 on Sky Bet.
