Who is the favourite to win the Nobel Peace Prize?
Donald Trump is currently the betting favourite to win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize at odds of 13/2 with Paddy Power.
Intrestingly he has received 85% of bets in 2025 and 87% this month via oddschecker.
He has long expressed frustration over not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, referencing the award frequently since his first term.
Last year, Representative Claudia Tenney nominated Trump for his role in the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and four Arab nations.
More recently, Representative Darrell Issa followed up with a nomination citing Trump’s ongoing efforts to secure peace in the Middle East.
Trump has also claimed credit for taking strides towards facilitating a temporary cease-fire between Russia and Ukraine recently - viewed by allies as evidence of his ongoing diplomatic relevance.
His administration also worked on securing the release of American detainees from countries like Russia and Belarus, another move touted as peacebuilding.
Trump's presidency has however been marked by divisive rhetoric, the withdrawal from key global agreements like the Paris Climate Accord, and controversial foreign policy decisions that continue to polarize opinion.
It should also be noted that the committee has previously honored heads of state - including Barack Obama, who won the prize early in his presidency.
