Ahead of week one of Strictly Come Dancing, who is the favourite to win?
We got our first glimse of this year's contestants in Strictly Come Dancing’s opening night for the 2025 series last week. The show kicked off in trademark style with a big group performance featuring the entire Strictly cast of celebrities, pros, and judges.
Two new professional dancers, Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon, made their debut with a lively poolside routine, while Jessie J provided the musical entertainment.
Reigning champions Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell returned for one final dance together before handing over the Glitterball spotlight to this year’s hopefuls.
Viewers were then introduced to the Class of 2025; including Lewis Cope, Ellie Goldstein, Vicky Pattison, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Alex Kingston, and more, who were paired up with their professional partners for the first time.
These stars will take to the stage to face the judges for real this weekend .
Week 1 kicks off on Saturday 27th September and although there will be no public vote or elimination this week, judges scores are carried over into week 2.
